The City of Covington is accepting bids from qualified contractors to provide inspection of Utility Pad Mount Transformers / Switchgears for the City of Covington Electric Department. Contractors are invited to submit a proposal to furnish all labor and equipment to inspect & preform maintenance for switchgears and pad mount transformers ranging in size from 25KVA Single Phase up to 2500KVA Three Phase as specified in Exhibit "A" for the City of Covington. All questions regarding this RFP shall be made to Joel Smith at jsmith@cityofcovington.org The deadline to submit questions is 3:00 PM on Friday, October 7, 2022. The first contract shall be in effect for three (3) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional calendar years upon mutual agreement of both parties. Either party may terminate this contract with thirty days' notice without cause and without further obligation except for payment due for services prior to date of such termination. The City of Covington will consider the competency and responsibility of bidders in making the award. City of Covington reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, to reject portions of the bids and to award contracts in a manner consistent with the City and laws governing the State of Georgia.
