Architect's Project No. Middle Ridge ES: SHL-D17-A-22 Architect's Project No. West Newton ES: SHL-D17-B-22 Architect's Project No. Mansfield ES: SHL-D17-C-22 The Newton County School System requires a vendor to perform HVAC replacement services for multiple elementary schools. Contract, if awarded, will be on a stipulated sum basis. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of receipt of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond payable to Newton County Board of Education in an amount equal to five percent of the base bid (Certified Checks NOT Acceptable). Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each amount equal to 100 percent of the contract sum, will be required of the successful bidder. These bonds shall be executed by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia, be listed on "Department of The Treasury Circular 570" and have an A. M. Best Company rating of at least Class "A", with a Financial Size of VII or better. Bonds must be accompanied by letter stating company's current rating for verification prior to acceptance by the Owner and execution of the formal Owner/Contractor agreement. The following Subcontractors will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each equal to 100% of their respective subcontracts: Mechanical (HVAC) Subcontractor. The Owner will make progress payments to the successful contractor upon receipt of request for payment having been certified by the Architect as fully covered and shown in Contract Documents.
