Bay City Academy is seeking proposals from qualified door installation companies for our school located at 301 N. Farragut St., Bay City, MI 48708. This Request for Proposals (RFP) does not commit Bay City Academy to award a contract or pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a proposal pursuant to this request. Bay City Academy reserves the right to accept all or any part of a proposal to cancel in part or in its entirety this RFP. Bay City Academy further reserves its right to accept the proposal that it considers to be in its best interest. Proposals shall remain valid for a period of sixty (60) days after submission. Modifications to any proposal will not be accepted by Bay City Academy unless mutually agreed upon following the acceptance of the proposal Questions related to this RFP should be addressed to Brandon Deacons at deaconsb@baycityacademy.com. Cell (989)-975-0713 This statement covers the good practice of installing 13 exterior doors, inclusive of installation of timber or metal door frames, door panel & ironmongery, and architrave if applicable Please provide a general summary of the work and a timeline for completion. Cost Proposal: Please provide a full description of expected expenditures for the work and materials described in this RFP. The cost must include all consultant fees, preparation of deliverables, printing, travel expenses, permits, insurance and taxes. Each bidder for a contract under this section to file with the board, security in an amount not less than 1/20 of the amount of the bid conditioned to secure the school district from loss or damage by reason of the withdrawal of the bid or by the failure of the bidder to enter a contract for performance, if the bid is accepted by the board. The selection criteria will include, but not be limited to, a demonstrated understanding of the scope of work to be performed; experience of the company and references; completeness and quality of proposal; cost proposal The selection committee may choose to interview any, all or none of the respondents in the best interest of Bay City Academy. Proposals may require review by Bay City Academy legal counsel. The award of the contract will be made to the respondent whose bid is most advantageous to Bay City Academy. Bay City Academy reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. Start time to begin the project shall be determined after Board of Education approval.
