City of Sheridan, Arkansas will accept lump sum bids for furnishing all tools, labor, materials, and equipment required to construct 4,100 linear foot of 6 foot wide walkway improvements. The contractor shall provide all MUTCD, Erosion Control, Concrete, Drainage Piping, Inlet Boxes, Earthwork, Handicap Ramps, Crosswalk Striping, and miscellaneous materials, etc. for a complete project according to project documents. anied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form in the specifications, payable to the City of Sheridan, Arkansas in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid as guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract if the bid is accepted. The bid proposal and work of the proposed contract shall be in accordance with all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, ordinances and regulations. The attention of the Bidder is directed to the applicable federal and state requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract. BIDDERS ARE ADVISED that Arkansas State Contractor Licensing Law applies to this project. Subcontractors are also required to be licensed according to Arkansas State Law. Licensure is not required to submit a bid; however, evidence of licensure shall be provided to the Owner prior to signing the contract. BIDDERS ARE ADVISED that BUY AMERICA PROVISIONS apply to this contract. The Arkansas Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, latest edition, Section 106 contains the requirements and restrictions for Buy America. 23 CFR635.410 contains all federal requirements for Buy America.
CITY hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws, and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938.
