Upgrades, repairs and redevelopment of the Brittain Hall pavilion. The scope of the project includes the renovation of a portion of the Brittain Hall pavilion of approximately 5,085 m2 and carry out work to secure and make available the remaining area of approximately 4,600 m2. Decontamination work is also planned, including the removal of materials containing asbestos. The facilities provided for this real estate solution take into account the fact that the pavilion was used as a student residence and constitutes an infrastructure more than a century old. In fact, some walls of the old rooms have been eliminated, which will make it possible to develop large spaces in accordance with the needs of the CEGEP and to offer greater flexibility to meet new needs. TIMELINE: The awarded architectural professional consultant has submitted to the owner prepared documents including feasibility study and functional and technical program (FTP) of the project. The owner is finalizing the project scope and budget and preparing a funding request for submission to provincial authorities. Timelines of the project development are not finalized pending required provincial approvals. Construction is preliminary slated for 2025. Note.
