Site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in York, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the County Treasurer of York County, NEbraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also each bidder is to provide a Start of Construction date and End of Construction date for each project with the Bid Proposal. The required completion date is June, 2023. The Contractor will be allowed one hundred fifty (150) calendar days. The completion date will be the earlier date indicated in the bid proposal or the actual start date plus the allotted calendar days. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the engineer. The contractor will be allowed to close both bridges at the same time and work on both bridges concurrently. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject6 to acceptance by the York County Board of Commissioners. York County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulation, Dept of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of Secretary, Part21, Nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs of the Dept of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, sex, age and disability/handicap in consideration for award. The York County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Act's competitive bidding considerations as set forth in NEB.REV.Stat 23-3110 to 23-3114. York County is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The project is located on Road 20 between Road V and Road X in York County, Nebraska.
