1 bid received and over budget. Scope of the project includes removal & reinstallation of an existing pole-mounted site sign, and installation of new building-mounted signage & a new monument sign. Electrical work as needed to light new building-mounted and monument signs. Note that an active Sign Contractor's License will be required for this project. A Contractor's License is not required to bid on this project however, the awarded contractor will be responsible for obtaining one, if not already licensed through the City of Newton, prior to commencement of work. Additionally, the awarded contractor will be responsible for obtaining a sign permit (submission & applicable permit fees) for this project. A copy of the Sign Contractor's License and Sign Permit Application is included in the specification manual for bidder's use and reference. Each bid must be accompanied, in a separate envelope, by a bid bond for 5% of the bid amount with a certified check or bank draft. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will also be required. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
