The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) invites firms pre-qualified on the: 2020 Quick-Build Design and Engineering and Construction Management Services Bench in Service Category A: Design and Engineering Services; 2021 Transportation Engineering and Planning Services Bench in Service Category D: Active Transportation Planning and Engineering; and/or 2021 Regional Planning Bench in Service Category 5: Transportation Policy and Implementation 2020 Construction Management, Design Services and Asset Management Bench to the Design Services Bench to apply for this project. Through this procurement, MTC seeks to hire a CONSULTANT to develop a comprehensive study that identifies and analyzes several alternatives for Bay Trail alignments in the cities of Millbrae and San Bruno in the vicinity of San Francisco International Airport (SFO), where there is currently a three-mile gap in the trail network between Millbrae Avenue and San Bruno Avenue. This effort is referred to as the SFO Gap Study, and it is bounded by El Camino Real (SR-82) to the west and SFO to the east. CONSULTANT will perform an existing conditions and conduct community/stakeholder input to develop conceptual trail alignment design alternatives. CONSULTANT will evaluate the performance of each alignment alternative using a variety of assessment criteria and assist in selecting a preferred alignment alternative and advance it through preliminary engineering (i.e., 15% design). CONSULTANT will develop a cost estimate to accompany the 15% design of the preferred alignment. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
