Renovation of an educational facility in Petaluma, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of November 7, 2022, bids were over the project budget. No definite date for the rebid. Project Number-20019/GG SRJC Petaluma Building 400 Kitchen Improvements Project. This project requires license B - General Contractors License. The Bidder's Bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California as a surety, made payable to the District, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid must be attached to the vendor's response. Vendor technical questions must be submitted via email to Mark McTeer at mmcteer@tbparchitecture.com on or before October 13, 2022 at 3 pm, if an addendum is required it will be issued no later than October 21, 2022 These are the only forms of notification authorized by the college district. Sonoma County Junior College shall not be responsible for receipt of notification and information received from any other source other than those listed. It shall be the vendor's responsibility to verify the validity of all bid information received by sources other than those listed. Time of completion for this project is 65 (Sixty-Five) days and Liquidated damages are $500 per day. The successful bidder shall comply with the provisions of the Labor Code pertaining to payment of the generally prevailing rate of wages and apprenticeships or other training programs. The Department of Industrial Relations has made available the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to execute the contract, including employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, apprenticeship and similar purposes The schedule of per diem wages is based upon a working day of eight hours. The rate for holiday and overtime work shall be at least time and one half. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening for bids except as provided by Public Contract Code 5100 et seq The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the California Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5 and 1770 et seq. In accordance with Labor Code 1725.5 and 1770 et seq., all bidders, contractors and subcontractors working at the site shall be duly registered with the Department of Industrial Relations at time of bid opening and at all relevant times. Proof of registration must be available upon request prior to the commencement of any work. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding.
