This Bid is for a Single Road Segment and Shall Include Incidental Shoulder Clearing, Repair to Base, Cleaning, Tacking and Placing an Asphalt Concrete Surface Overlay on the Following Segment of Stark Road in Orlinda, Tn. Section of Stark Road Beginning at the Intersection of Highway 52 and Running to a Point Approximately 830 Feet South on Stark Road. The End Point is Easily Identified by a Joint Where Old and New Asphalt Connect. This Approximately 830 Foot Long Segment of Stark Road Has an Average Width of Approximately 23 Foot, Resulting in a Total Square Yards of Pavement of 2,121. This Bid Requires Inch of Leveling Mix and 1.5 Inches of Surface Mix for a Total of 2 Inches of Asphalt, Which Equates to Approximately 233 Tons of Applied Mix in Total. Bids Shall Be Identified on the Exterior of the Sealed Envelope With All the Information Required by Law, Including the Name of the Project and the Bidders Name, Address and License Number, Expiration Date and Classification. All Bidders Must Be Licensed Contractors to Perform the Type of Construction Herein Described and as Required by Tennessee Code Annotated. Each Bidder Agrees by the Submission of His Bid to Commence Work Within Thirty (30) Days of the Issuance by the City of a Written Notice to Proceed and to Fully Complete the Work Within Thirty-five (35) Calendar Days From the Date of the Notice to Proceed. A 5% Bid Bond and Performance and Payment Bond Will Be Required. A Tennessee Drug Free Workplace Affidavit is Also Required to Be Submitted With Bid.
