Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Daphne, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The Work will consist of grading, draining, paving, preparing a building pad for 2,800 square foot pre-engineered metal building with stubs for water and sanitary, and erosion control and permanent stabilization. All Bids must be on blank forms provided in the Specifications and submitted in its entirety. A cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a Bidder's bond, payable to City of Daphne, Alabama, for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid, but in no event more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000), shall be filed with the Bid. The Bidder's bond shall be prepared on the form specified and signed by a bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Alabama. The Engineer for the Project is Barton & Shumer Engineering, LLC. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is 3213 Midtown Park South, Mobile, Alabama. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. No Specifications will be issued to potential Bidders later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled bid opening. No questions from potential Bidders will be answered through addendum later than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled bid opening. No Bids will be considered unless the Bidder, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly qualified to submit a Bid for this Project in accordance with all applicable laws of the State of Alabama. This shall include evidence of holding a current license from the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, as required by Chapter 8, Title 34 of the Code of Alabama (1975). In addition, non-residents of the State, if a corporation, shall show evidence of having qualified with the Secretary of State to do business in the State of Alabama. In evaluating Bidders, the City will consider the qualifications of Bidders and may consider the qualifications and experience of Subcontractors, Suppliers, and other individuals or entities proposed for those portions of the Work for which the identity of Subcontractors, Suppliers, and other individuals or entities must be submitted as may be provided in the Supplementary Conditions. The City may conduct such investigations as the City deems necessary to establish the responsibility, qualifications, and financial ability of Bidders, proposed Subcontractors, Suppliers, individuals, or entities proposed for those portions of the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. The City may disqualify Bidders that have had prior demands placed on a bid bond, payment bond, or performance bond within the last five (5) years prior to the date of this Bid submission. The City may disqualify Bidders that have prior or existing litigation arising from allegations regarding the quality of work performed on any contract within the last five (5) years prior to the date of this Bid submission. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of Bids without the consent of the City Council of City of Daphne, Alabama.
