Renovation of an educational facility in La Place, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Hurricane Ida Disaster Related Repairs to the East St. John Preparatory Academy Project Located at 400 Ory Drive, Laplace, Louisiana 70068. This project Scope of Work of the Base Bid includes, but is not limited to, the complete reroofing with new underlayments and asphalt shingles at Classroom Building Units D and E, the repair and patching of miscellaneous existing asphalt shingle roofing and the replacement of all ridge shingles at Building Units A and B. Significant segments of the existing roof parapets at Building Units D and E shall also be repaired/replaced with new pre-finished metal copings and associated flashings. The project Scope of Work also includes a new metal retrofit roof system installed on top of Building Unit Fs existing pre-engineered metal building roof. In addition, the project calls for repairs to the existing Gymnasium metal roof which is a pre-engineered metal building constructed in 2020, and the refastening and repairs to the existing metal fascia and drip edge at Building Unit A. The Scope of Work includes interior repairs, replacement of acoustical ceiling tiles and damaged lighting fixtures in some of the classrooms in Building Unit E and Building Unit F. Other exterior repairs include replacement of metal soffit panels, repair/replacement of fencing at the Mechanical Yard, new dumpster enclosure fencing, re-lamping exterior light fixtures, repairs to several windows that were damaged by Hurricane Ida and other items as noted within the documents. Project Scope of Work also includes as an add alternate a new covered canopy structure to be constructed over the existing concrete walkway from Building B extending to the existing Gymnasium in accordance with the drawings and specifications. All work must be substantially complete within one hundred and eighty (180) consecutive days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. ANY PERSON REQUIRING SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS SHALL NOTIFY THE OWNER OF THE TYPE(S) OF ACCOMMODATION REQUIRED NOT LESS THAN SEVEN (7) DAYS BEFORE THE BID OPENING. All Bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the Base Bid and all Alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or a Bid Bond Form written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana, signed by the suretys agency or attorney-in-fact as per the project specifications.
