Technology Campus Bldg A Analog to Digital Audiovisual Upgrade South Texas College seeks to contract with a qualified provider for the purchase and installation of new audiovisual equipment to upgrade existing equipment on Building A at the Technology Campus in McAllen, Texas. The South Texas College Educational Technologies department will be upgrading twelve (12) classrooms from existing/legacy analog audiovisual equipment to newer digital equipment. The awarded AV company will be responsible for disconnecting/removing the existing equipment from the rooms (podium/rack, projector, speakers and cabling), and installing the listed equipment into the same rooms. OFE equipment will include replacement electric podium/table with equipment rack and PC with monitor. Due to the heavy weight of the requested 98" displays (12), the awarded AV company will be responsible for installing 3/4 " plywood backing (likely 4' x 4' sheet) onto the wall where the new displays will be installed. This backing should make contact with, and be supported by, at least 3 wall studs to help support the weight load of the 98" displays (12). Work orders for electrical will be handled by STC staff. All removed equipment will be transferred to STC staff. STC will be responsible for the configuration of the AV systems. The awarded vendor is responsible for installation and signal verification. The awarded vendor is also responsible for all needed installation accessories, which include, but not limited to: mud rings, split pass through wall plates, J-hooks, snake mesh to dress visible cables, zip ties, etc.
