This is an on-call contract, which shall be used to provide the City of El Centro with a readily available work force for Traffic Signal System Maintenance, Emergency Repairs (extraordinary maintenance), and Related Construction Services. Systems include traffic signal, communications, and lighting systems, including testing and certification of new controller assemblies, maintenance, repair and installation of new traffic signal equipment, lighted crosswalks, radar speed feedback signs, rectangular rapid flashing beacons and flashing beacons. There is no guaranteed minimum amount of work under this contract. The amount of work to be requested during the sixty-month contract period cannot be well defined at the outset. Work shall be issued through Work Orders. Each individual Work Order's scope shall be defined by results of contract site inspection recommendations and/or city requested work. City shall prepare drawings and/or specifications of sufficient detail to determine a scope of work and schedule for individual projects. The scope of work is more specifically described in these Specifications. It is anticipated that this bid will be utilized by the City of Calexico, City of Brawley and County of Imperial.
