Site work for a residential development in Emporia, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a residential development.

The principal work to be performed under this contract consists of, but not limited to providing labor for the removal of existing water meter and replace with new water meter and transceiver within the GCWSA water distribution system. GCWSA will furnish the meters, transceivers, meter boxes, and the addresses where these meters are to be install. The work will be consisting of the following: Install approximate 1,188 EA 3/4 Water Meter Replacements Install approximate 1,188 EA XMU Radio Read Units Install approximate 150 EA Water meter Box Replacements Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. The Engineer for this project is B&B Consultants, Inc. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: B & B Consultants, Inc., 212 East Ferrell Street, South Hill, VA 23970. The contact person is Randy Jones, 434-447-7621, rjones@bandbcons.com. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:15 am -5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents may also be examined at the GCGB, address listed above, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9 am-4 pm. Upon Issuing Offices receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent. The date that the Issuing Office transmit the Bidding Documents will be considered the prospective Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Authority nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions for Bidders. A performance bond and payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Evidence of proper registration with the Virginia State Registration Board of Contractors, pursuant to Chapter 7 of Title 54 of the Code of Virginia, must be submitted with each bid. Greensville County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received, to negotiate with the low bidder, and/or to re-advertise the project for bids.
