The City of Warner Robins Storm Water Compliance Department invites the submission of bids for the Site Clearing of overgrown vegetation located at various locations as identified on provided maps. Site clearing activities include removal of trees and vegetation above ground, on side slopes, and basin floor ranging from 25 feet to 200 feet on each side of each overpass/bridge areas. All distances are measured from the edge of the overpass/bridge areas. Much of this work will be required to be done by hand or with equipment that will not interrupt or damage the root systems along the side slopes or floor basin. The limbs and vegetative debris generated by site clearing activities must be removed from ditch, cut into 8 foot lengths or less and piled for removal. Once debris is piled for removal, the City of Warner Robins Public Works Department will then pick up and haul off debris. There will be no long-term piles of vegetative matter allowed to be left in the ditch, side walls or work areas. Identified areas disturbed by machinery, must be graded, seeded and strawed upon completion of clearing work. Nothing in this Specification shall be interpreted as relieving the Contractor of the responsibility of meeting all applicable Federal, State and Local codes and regulations. It is the contractors' responsibility to verify measurements and request any general information or minor clarification by the allowed date. The successful bidder shall give satisfactory evidence to the City of Warner Robins that they and/or sub-contractor carries Worker's Compensation, in accordance with State Worker's Compensation Laws, and public liability and property damage insurance in sufficient amounts to ensure adequate coverage of the work, with the following minimum amounts acceptable: 1. Worker's Compensation & Builders Risk 100% 2. Comprehensive General Liability 1M/3M/50K 3. Comprehensive Vehicle Liability 1M/3M/50K All questions must be submitted electronically no later than Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. local time. All questions will be answered by the designated date and time of Monday, October 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. local time. The bid will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid will be most advantageous to the City of Warner Robins, price, availability and other factors considered. The City of Warner Robins reserves the right to accept none, all, or any part of the bid, and to waive all formalities.
