Renovation of an educational facility in Abingdon, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of November 22, 2022, project has been awarded to: Puckett Greenhouse *Abingdon High for $30,461 *Holston High for $41,042 *John Battle High for $28,431 *Patrick Henry High for $27,540 This is a Request for Proposals for the refurbishing and retrofitting the glass Greenhouse at Abingdon High, Holston High, John Battle High, and Patrick Henry High. This is for labor, replacing and/or repairing the fans and evaporative cooling pad systems. Moving fans and changing the direction of air flow may be considered. The intent is not to replace all glass. Washington County School will be responsible for the electrical. The completion date will be by September 2024. The bid for each house will be processed individually. For questions pertaining to the greenhouse measurements and equipment, contact Barry Yost at yost@wcs.k12.va.us. Greenhouse #1 is 21'.6" wide and 50'6" long. The fans in greenhouse #1 measure 341/4" wide and 341/4" tall (side fans) Greenhouse #2 is 20'6" wide and 50'6" long Two fans, the fan in the roof is around 42" wide and around 42" tall. The other fan is smaller but in the same size frame, but too high to measure. (3 Fans) Greenhouse #3 is 21'6" wide and 50'6" long Fan in the roof is 42"x42" and a smaller one in the side is 34 1/4" x 34 1/4" (2 fans)
