For the materials and labor necessary for the construction of the Improvements of Fairview Avenue- Extension widening and Resurfacing of fairview avenue between w. 1st avenue and W, 3rd avenue. The proposed improvements include turning fairview avenue into thru road, the addition of drop-off lanes for the adjacent school, and proposed utilities. The City of Grandview Heights may choose to not award the bid-and bidders shall hold bids open-until sixty days after the bid opening. The work for which bids are invited consists of: approximately 1000 lineal feet of roadway reconstruction including asphalt pavement, curb, storm sewer, waterline, street lighting, brick pavers, sidewalks, traffic signal, grading, trees, and seeding. installation and maintenance of highway and street lighting, highway and street sign lighting, electronic message boards and traffic control systems, camera systems, traffic signal work, substation and line construction including overhead and underground projects for private and industrial work . The cost estimate for the Base Bid is $2,600,000. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner requires that this project be completed by September 30, 2023 for substantial completion with other interim completion dates. Payment of Prevailing Wages is required for this Project. The City of Grandview Heights reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process and to enter into a contract with the bidder whom, in its opinion, offers the lowest and best bid.
