Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Felch Township, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The work, East Pipeline Culvert Replacement Project, Michigan Dept. of Natural Resources - Forestry Division, includes soil erosion and sediment control, temporary damning the unnamed tributary stream and bypass pumping water, removal of an existing failed 24" CMP culvert, excavation for installation of a new 102-inch Aluminum or Concrete culvert meeting design requirements for HS-93 Loading, backfill of new culvert as depicted in the design documents, reconstruction of East Pipeline Road, guardrail installation and site restoration. Contractor to submit culvert design to engineer for approval. This project is located in Felch, Michigan where the unnamed creek crosses the East Pipeline Road. The existing culvert has failed. The MDNR FRD is proposing to remove the existing culvert. A new 8.5-foot diameter culvert is proposed to replace the existing undersized 2-foot diameter culvert. The project includes removal of existing metal culvert at the East Pipeline Road Creek Crossing. Installation of a new aluminum or concrete culvert, headwalls and wingwalls, roadwork regrading and shaping, earthwork excavation and backfilling and stream bypassing and grading, and restoration.
