In recent months, Pacific Gas and Electric Company has informed the City of Sausalito that it intends to upgrade its current above ground 4kV electrical system in the central portion of Sausalito to a 12kV system. The City of Sausalito is interested in initiating a process to underground these facilities and is seeking qualified firms that have the experience to fully administer and manage a significant sized undergrounding project. The City invites qualified firms ("Proposers") to submit proposals for managing the entire process of acting as the City's liaison with PG&E to underground these facilities. The City will be seeking assistance from a qualified financial organization to provide recommendations to the City regarding the best method to fund these improvements. The City intends to award a professional services contract for these services ("Agreement"), using the form attached as Attachment 6, Professional Services Agreement. If the City decides to award the Agreement to a Proposer, it will be a fixed price agreement. The anticipated deadline for submitting questions is October 13, 2022 The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
