It is the goal of this project to remove and replace the existing asphalt & rubber membrane roof coverings at Martin Memorial Hall in Weathersfield. 2.1 Remove existing asphalt shingles and replace with either CertainTeed Landmark Premium OR CertainTeed Landmark Pro asphalt shingles. 2.2 Remove existing rubber membrane roof covering & replace with a rubber membrane system, similar to the current type. 2.3 Use a 5" maximum exposure. 2.4 Fasteners: Rust-resistant (galvanized, aluminum, or stainless) nails 1 1/4 " to 1 1/2 " (3.2 to 3.8 cm) long. Fasteners must penetrate at least 1/2 " (1.3cm). 2.5 Repair brick deterioration at the chimney. 2.6 Install a chimney cap. 2.7 It is important to ensure adequate circulation of air underneath shingles in order to enhance their durability, reduce moisture, and save energy: The Question Period ends on October 20, 2022, at 1pm.
