Community Center Water Service Replacement The Park District of Franklin Park does hereby invite sealed bids for the Community Center Water Service Replacement. Work will include earthwork operations, new water service from the City's water main under Franklin Avenue into the building, saw cutting, pavement removal, curb and gutter removal, and sidewalk removals, concrete curbs and sidewalk restoration, and asphalt patch/paving. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Park District of Franklin Park. The successful bidder, as determined by the Park District of Franklin Park, shall be required to pay, and to agree to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages for the locality of the Park District of Franklin Park, to each laborer worker, or mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The Park District of Franklin Park reserves the right to reject any and all bids, parts of any and all bids, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted bids. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Park District of Franklin Park. The Park District of Franklin Park encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
