Ellis County Kansas Commission is accepting Request for Proposals (RFP) to install an emergency power generator and components located at the Administrative Center 718 Main Street, Hays, Kansas. All proposals must include name of Performance Bonding Company with a 5% Bid Bond to accompany proposal including fees for total amount included in each proposal. Successful bidder will submit a Performance and Payment Bond for the full Bid amount accepted to the Owner within 14 days of successful award. The scope for this project is provide a complete, turnkey project installation of the generator, concrete pad work, transfer switches, underground wiring and conduit, and other electrical work. It is also expected for the selected contractor to work within reason to quickly identify space needs and site work to allow for concrete to be poured as part of a HVAC project at the same location. Demolition Contractor will be responsible for all required demolition, and the reinstallation of all electrical infrastructure to allow the building to be provided with emergency power. The contractor will be responsible for installing the appropriately sized concrete generator pad per manufacturers recommendations. The pad is to be raised to a height to ensure floodwater does not impact the operation of the new generator. The contractor will be responsible for all modifications to the existing building, and future generator system. This is to include new infrastructure to feed electrical services to the new chiller (not currently yet on-site) currently being installed on emergency power.
