General work description: South San Francisco wants to step up its support for Veterans, but before providing that support, we need to recognize and analyze the unique needs and situations our veteran population faces. To accomplish this, the City of South San Francisco is seeking a partner for a feasibility study regarding the potential for a Veterans Center. This partner would work closely with the City and deliver this insight, particularly as it relates to housing, workforce development, and mental health. The City of South San Francisco currently offers programs in workforce development through the Economic Advancement Center and champions health and social services through the Promotores Program. We would like to potentially include services for veterans as another tool in our toolbox as a complement to our pre-existing programs and services.
