Contractor needed to furnish all labor, supplies necessary to remove, dispose of, and replace the existing roof at VDOF's Conway Robinson State Forest Picnic Shelter located within the State Forest approximately 1,500 feet east of the intersection of Route 29 and Interstate 66 north of Gainesville, VA, 20155 near established parking areas. Detailed Scope of Work: - Roof is approximately 40 feet by 12 feet each side of the roof peak or approximately 960 square feet of total roof footage - however, contractors should measure for themselves. - Remove existing roof down to the wood deck, including but not exclusive to shingles, underlayment, and flashing. - Remove rotten plywood (wood deck) estimating the need to replace at least 10 sheets of 4 foot x 8 foot x 1/2 inch thick plywood - mostly at the drip edges - however, contractor should measure for themselves. - Install self-adhering ice and water shield underlayment at roof eaves with overhangs. - Install synthetic felt underlayment over wood decking #30 pound at a minimum. - Install an estimated 130 feet of drip edge (currently none installed) - Install GAF Timberline architectural shingles, 100MPH wind warranty (color to be selected from available stock from contractor selected by VDOF). Contractor Responsibilities: - Adhere to manufacture industry standards, means and methods for all installation work and activities. - Will be responsible for all cleanup and removal of debris from worksite on a daily basis. - Will need to keep areas clean and unobstructed for normal office personnel to perform daily duties. - Provide dumpster and haul away all debris and trash from jobsite. - Establish access to the shelter from the parking area and replacement of any parking structures to be removed for the access. - Provide all needed tools and safety equipment needed by staff to implement and complete the job in entirety. - Make sure to not leave roof of building open to weather at any time. - Complete work 90 days after issuance of Purchase Order. - All work must be completed during normal business hours of 7:00 AM- 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday.
