**As of May 15, 2024, the project was awarded to Bugler Construction, Inc. for $1,986,400.** General work description: The work to be done generally consists of removing debris in the culvert, cleaning the culvert invert, preparing concrete surfaces and exposed rebar, installing new rebar along the culvert invert, overlaying the culvert invert, installing new concrete beam and steel struts, repairing storm drain connection to the culvert, and bypass of creek channel flows as necessary for construction Engineer's cost estimate: $2,300,000 Number of Working Days: 165 Working Days (working days will be counted based on 6 working days per week. Bids and bid bonds shall be made on the Bid Proposal issued. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified cashier's check/s or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, made payable to the order of "City of Orinda". Any bid received after the time specified in this Notice will be returned unopened. No oral, telegraphic, or facsimile bids or modifications will be accepted or considered. Bids must cover the entire project, including furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, andservices. Neither partial nor contingent bids will be considered. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any portion of any bid and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Bidder may not withdraw their bids after the bid opening. All bids will expire on the 36thday after bid opening unless the City extends the award period beyond the 36th day after the bid opening.
