The City of Lubbock is requesting qualifiactions for West Lubbock Water System Expansion. Based on the adopted 2017 Water Distribution System Master Plan the current model shows future pressures below the regulatory minimum pressures. As the City of Lubbock continues to improve the water utility needs of the Citizens of Lubbock, we must anticipate the infrastructure improvements needed to meet the growing population while remaining in compliance with current and future TCEQ requirements. The RFQ will allow the City of Lubbock to select a qualified professional to supplement City staff in the analysis and design of the West Lubbock Water System Expansion. The area surrounding Reese Center has seen substantial growth and annexations. This growth area has exceeded expectations of the water master plan. The City will need major infrastructure upgrades to maintain an appropriate level of service to West Lubbock. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
