City of Crescent City Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) Influent Gate Project Description The WWTF is located at 210 Battery Street in the City of Crescent City in Del Norte County of the state of California. The current influent gate is original to the plant circa 1950's. This gate is at the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced. The proposed project will encompass demolition and removal of the existing gate, hydraulic actuator, and float control system. The new influent gate will bolt to the existing influent pipe and a new electric actuator motor will be installed. New electrical work is required for power, control, and monitoring of the new gate. The gate position and actuator control will be integrated into the plant's System Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. The contractor will be required to coordinate start up and testing with the City's SCADA integrator. The City's integrator will only provide programing. The contractor is responsible for providing a complete and functional influent gate system. All work and schedules must be coordinated with the City's WWTF contract operator (Jacobs). Continuous operation of the WWTF is required during the installation. Temporary shutdowns must be coordinated with plant staff. Inspections of the plant prior to bidding must be coordinated with Austin Nova (707) 954- 0713. No formal pre-bid meeting will be held.
