Renovation of a water / sewer project in Morristown, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
As of January 18, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The Contract Documents may be reviewed online at no cost or at the Township of Morris Administrator's Office/Purchasing Department, Municipal Building, 50 Woodland Avenue, P.O. Box 7603, Convent Station, New Jersey, 07961-7603, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. This project will include the installation of two pumps and piping along the Oxic Tank walls to increase the internal recycle pumping capacity at the Township's Woodland Sewage Treatment Plant. Bids for the contract must be submitted on standard proposal forms furnished by the Township of Morris in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and must be addressed to the Purchasing Department, Township of Morris, 50 Woodland Avenue, PO Box 7603, Convent Station, New Jersey 07961-7603 and clearly marked "OTE: 2022-02, WOODLAND SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT INTERNAL RECYCLE SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS" on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM. No bids will be accepted after the bid opening has commenced. Bids may be hand delivered, mailed, or submitted by courier, and must be received by the time, date, and place specified. The Township of Morris will not assume responsibility for bids forwarded by mail or delivery service. The guaranty accompanying the bid proposal shall be given in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid, minimum of $500.00 and not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00), and may be given at the option of the bidder by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or a Bid Bond from a reputable insurance company licensed in the State of New Jersey. Pursuant to P.L. 2004, c.57 (N.S.A. 52:32-44) effective September 1, 2004, all business organizations that conduct business with a New Jersey government agency are required to be registered with the State of New Jersey. Bidders and their subcontractors must submit proof that they are registered with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue by submitting a copy of their Business Registration Certificate. Failure to provide the Business Registration Certificate prior to award of the contract will be cause for rejection of the bid as being nonresponsive. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17-27. Bids may be held by the Township of Morris for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. Pursuant to P.L. 2010, c. 108, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3 authorizes a bidder to request withdrawal of a public works bid due to a mistake on the part of the bidder within five days after the opening of the bids. The Township reserves the right to reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2. *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
