Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Camden, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
Improve drainage by removing, replacing and/or reconstructing 50 critical, deteriorated, non-functional catch basins with 24 new Type 'Y' inlets, 4 new Type 2-2B inlets, reconstructing 22 existing Inlets and installing 5 new Type 'Y' Inlets throughout the Village of Camden. Drainage improvements will include replacement and installation of new storm sewer lines as needed for connection to the sewer system; replacement and installation of curb, sidewalk, and drive aprons, and repair and resurfacing of street surface as needed to correct drainage problems on St. Clair Street, between Liberty & Lafayette Streets, approx. 325 LF; South Street, from S. Lafayette west to U.S. 127, approx. 785 LF; Depot Street, between Cottage Street and E. Central Avenue, approx. 230 LF, (as part of Add Alternate 2); and E. Central Avenue, from Second Street to Depot Street, approx. 492 LF. Engineer's Estimate: Base Bid: $470,000.00 Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified check of the bidder, or a bid bond prepared in the form of a bid bond attached hereto, duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Board, in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid. Such cash, checks or bid bonds will be returned to all except the three (3) lowest bidders within three (3) days after the opening of bids, and the remaining cash, checks or bid bonds will be returned promptly after the Board and the accepted bidder have executed the contract, or, if no award has been made within thirty (30) days after the date of the opening of bids, upon demand of the bidder at any time thereafter, so long as the bidder has not been notified of the acceptance of his bid. The successful bidder, upon his failure or refusal to execute and deliver the contract and bonds required within ten (10) days after he has received notice of the acceptance of his bid, shall forfeit to the Board, as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal, the security deposited with his bid. The Bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" of the Board and the project shall begin on or around October 14, 2024 with the intent to fully complete the project by March 28, 2025; this schedule is firm as the project is currently on a schedule extension. The Bidder must agree also to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $300.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as hereinafter provided in the General Conditions. The Board of Preble County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all proposals; to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, or to accept any proposal which is deemed most favorable to the Preble County Commissioners, at the time and under the stipulations in the GENERAL PROVISIONS.
