Renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility in Wilton Manors, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility.
**As of December 28, 2022, the project has not yet been awarded. The anticipated date for award is not yet determined. The project is for a storage building at Mickel Park in the City of Wilton Manors. There is an existing structural slab that shall be utilized for the storage building structure. The City previously installed the slab and began construction of the storage building, however only the slab was inspected and approved by the Building Department. The contractor will be required to analyze the existing structure and if feasible, utilize what it already in place to permit and finish the project. If analysis determines the structure is not salvageable, a new prefabricated storage building shall be installed. The project will be partially funded through the Community Development Block Grant program and must meet all the appropriate federal guidelines. This project will consist into several phases with an alternate bid. Potential bidders must visit the site. A site visit will be conducted after the non-mandatory pre-bid meeting. Deadline for Questions October 18, 2022, 7:00 a.m. Response to Questions October 24, 2022 Address all questions to Lluis Gorgoy, Purchasing Coordinator, 2020 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors, Florida 33305 via email to lgorgoy@wiltonmanors.com All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond written by a Surety licensed to do business in Florida and named in the current list of "Companies' Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds" as published in Circular 570(amended) by the Financial Management Service, Surety Bond Branch, U.S. Department of Treasury. Bid Guaranty may be a certified, cashier's, treasurer's check or bank draft of any national or state bank, in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the City of Wilton Manors and conditioned upon the successful Bidder entering into Contract with Surety as specified within fifteen (15) days after award of Contract and furnish the necessary documents to the City including, but not limited to: insurance certificates, Construction Bond in the amount stated herein, all bonds shall be written by a surety authorized to conduct business in the State of Florida and shall have a registered agent in the State of Florida and named in the current list of "Companies' Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds" as published in Circular 570 (amended) by the Financial Management Service, Surety Bond Branch, U.S. Department of Treasury The City Commission of the City of Wilton Manors reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities or irregularities and to accept or reject all or any part of any bid as they may deem to be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Wilton Manors.
