Renovation of a military facility in Reading, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Deadline for Submission of Questions through CommBuys "Bid Q&A" 14OCT The work to be accomplished under this contract, without limiting the generalities thereof, consists of providing all labor, permitting, equipment and supervision required to: a. Contractor shall remove two Lochinvar combination unit hot water heaters and old equipment. b. All equipment will be removed within all Mass. Environmental Laws and Regulations. c. Furnish and install Lochinvar condensing commercial gas water heater armor boiler d. Furnish and install two 100-125 gallon Lochinvar hot water storage tanks e. Install all electrical work to new domestic system f. Install new boiler exhaust ventilation with all necessary roof penetration. g. Fresh Air Makeup shall be modified or replaced to ensure proper air flow is provided to boiler h. Stainless steel flue piping shall be assessed and if needed changed/modified to ensure there is enough flow in piping. i. Provide training for facility managers and all supporting documents/manuals j. New piping insulation shall be installed in kind to existing insulation k. Electrical Permitting shall be sourced through the town of Reading if needed. l. Plumbing/Gas permitting shall be sourced through the Commonwealth. The Awarding Authority seeks a Limited User Contract (restricted to use by issuing entity only) to contract with one (1) qualified contractor to perform repairs on the domestic hot water system. Located at the MA Army National Guard (MAARNG) Field Maintenance Shop (FMS) 28 Haverhill St, Reading, MA 01867. Remove two Lochinvar boilers and replace with new.
