Notice is hereby given that Maricopa County (County) is conducting this invitation for SEALED BIDS for the work described herein: Remove existing roof system down to the substrate (lightweight concrete (LWIC) and or concrete decking). Contractor shall test substrate for moisture content prior to installation of the insulation boards. If the moisture readings are 14% or less, roof system shall be installed with manufacturers approval. Low Sloped Roofs: If moisture is greater than 14% but less than 30% add additional one-way vapor vents at the rate of 1 per 500 square feet in that area. If the moisture is 30% or greater, first allow the area to dry and if it cannot dry, remove the LWIC and replace with polyisocyanurate taper insulation boards. Lightning protection installed on multiple roof sections to be removed to allow proper installation of the new roof system and reinstalled / reset lightening protection by others. Lightning protection shall be adhered to sacrificial pads. -See Exhibit 1 for details All work on this contract is to be completed within 270 CALENDAR DAYS beginning with the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Bid security percent:10% Execution of the contract, submittal of the payment bond, performance bond, and Certificate of Insurance are not required at the time of bid submittal. These documents must be submitted to the County by the successful bidder at time of contract execution.
