SUMMARY The Town of Rowley is requesting price quotes for consultant services to develop a Town-wide written Workplace Health and Safety Plan to comply with the MGL 149 Section 61/2, which requires that public sector workplaces comply with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) requirements. The Consultant for this project will be responsible for conducting building safety inspections, reviewing existing written safety policies, drafting written policies, and creating a training schedule for Town employees. The Consultant will work with individual Department heads, as well as the Town Administrator/Assistant Town Administrators, in completing this work. This solicitation is being issued under Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30B following a written scope-of-work statement. The contract will be awarded pursuant to the provisions set forth in this statute. The successful bidder is required to be familiar with and to comply with the terms and conditions of all federal, state and local laws, bylaws regulations and codes which in any way relate to the performance of the work in accordance with the contract. The method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
