Knox County, an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer, and Knox County Schools seeks to retain the services of a professional Architectural firm to provide design services for multiple Innovative School Models grant funded projects that are located within existing Knox County Schools high school facilities. Initially anticipated projects, pending final approval, design and budget, include the following: o Renovations to Central High School to relocate a Science lab and add administrative and counseling offices. o Renovations to Fulton High School to develop and/or collocate spaces for academic pathway-specific needs. o Renovations to Hardin Valley Academy to provide a rehabilitation therapy space and convert current classrooms into lab spaces. o Renovations to Austin East Magnet High School to repurpose existing space to meet specific needs of new academic pathways. o Renovations to Karns High School to remove locker bays and construct new office space and convert current classroom space into offices. o Renovations to Bearden High School provide a sports medicine space and convert current classrooms into lab spaces. o Renovations to Farragut High School to convert existing space into cyber security/network classroom/lab space. o Additional projects will be added to the list as they are identified with at least one project anticipated per Knox County high school and middle school. Non-acceptance of any submittal will be devoid of any criticism of the submittal and of any implication that the submittal is deficient in any manner. Non-acceptance of any submittal shall be construed as meaning simply that the County does not deem the submittal to be acceptable or that another submittal was deemed to be more advantageous to Knox County for the qualifications submitted.
