Fire Department Addition and Renovation Project - General and Site, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Electrical Construction Multi-Prime, Prevailing Wage Proposed New Addition and Renovations Dover Township Volunteer Fire Department 3700 David burg Road, Dover, PA 17315 Bid are requested as follows and below is a list of the Bid Contracts: Contract No. 1 General and Site Construction Work Contract No. 2 HVAC Construction Work Contract No. 3 Plumbing Construction Work Contract No. 4 Fire Protection Construction Work Contract No. 5 Electrical Construction Work The project consists of the construction of 15,786 total square feet of addition and interior renovations which will be split into two construction phases as follows: Phase #1: Project consist of Site/Civil, General, M/E/P construction for 2,591 square foot one-story new addition with masonry wall, metal roof trusses, metal roof deck, shower installation of 205 square feet in existing Truck Bay, public restrooms renovations 123 square feet, and construction on new mezzanine of 597 square feet within existing Truck Bay as indicated on Sheet No. AP1.01. Phase #2: Project consist of General, M/E/P construction for 9,205 square feet of interior renovations for the Dorm area, Day Room renovations, Day Room Entrance Vestibule, and Pantry addition as indicated on Sheet No. AP1.01. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, a cashier's check, or the bid bond of an approved Security Company, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the proposal. Check or bond shall be drawn in favor of the Dover Township. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of Ninety (90) days after the date of the opening of bids, except if delayed by a required approval of another government agency, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case contract award would occur within 120 days of the date of bid opening. This may also be extended by mutual written consent of the contracting body and the bidder(s) and only in thirty (30) day extensions of the date for the award. Successful Bidders must submit Performance and Payment Bonds using the form provided in the bidding documents, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract. This project is subject to prevailing wages. Corporations seeking to bid and who are organized under the laws of a state other than Pennsylvania must secure the appropriate certificates, authorizing them to conduct within the Commonwealth. The entire work shall be completed, ready for use, on or before 210 day after the Award of the Contract. All questions pertaining to the documents and bidding should be submitted online through Penn Bid's "Clarifications" feature Responses will be posted via Penn Bid and a formal Addenda issued no later than four (4) working days before bids are due. The Dover Township reserves the right to waive any informality in bids or reject any and/or all bids.
