JOB DESCRIPTION: Project work includes removing concrete to repair spalled concrete areas, removing and pouring new concrete sidewalls, masonry repointing within project limits, and installing new masonry per the project drawings and specifications. Existing brick in good condition is to be cleaned and reused. Upon request, the City will provide replacement brick in the event there's a shortage of re-useable brick. Provide a detailed bid to furnish all labor, material and equipment including concrete and brick removal, repair concrete spall areas, new concrete sidewalls, masonry repainting and new masonry per the project drawings. A certified check payable to the City of Port Huron, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. All bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the City of Port Huron for that purpose. The City of Port Huron reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects or irregularities in the bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed most advantageous to the said City's interests. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory insurance certificates. All bidders are required to qualify according to the bidder qualification regulations for contractors bidding on City of Port Huron contracts as set forth in the instruction to bidders.
