The Lake Darling Lodge was constructed in 2008 with a Geo-Thermal HVAC system. This HVAC system was configured differently than what would be installed today and the system has lived beyond it's expected life. This project will remove all existing HVAC equipment and glycol solution, the existing duct work and geo-thermal wells shall remain in place. The contractor shall install new HVAC air-handlers, geo circulation pumps, buffer tanks, all new copper piping with armaflex insulation, aquastat controls and new CPU, and flush and refill entire Glycol water mixture. The existing lodge HVAC equipment shall be completely removed, this includes, piping, air-handlers, circulation pumps, buffer/expansion tanks, glycol, wiring, etc. Geo-thermal wells to remain in place and to be reused for this project. Contractor shall then install two (2) new 5-ton, 2-stage TW water-to-water geothermal units, over isolation air pads, in the existing mechanical room. The contractor shall install a HBX Eco-0550 CPU, or approved equal, for each unit. The contractor shall place one (1) 80 gallon buffer tank on the loading side piping. Contractor shall convert loop system to a non-pressurized loop system with a standpipe and four (4) new Wilo Star 33 circulation pumps, or approved equal. All new piping shall be copper piping and include a PT port on the source loop, in and out, for each HVAC unit. Wrap all piping in 1/2 " Armaflex insulation. Contractor shall then flush and refill entire loop system with 20% propylene glycol/80% water mixture. Contractor to replace all low-voltage control wiring and thermostats. If any of this equipment is too large for the mechanical room, contractor may cut holes in the wall into the existing storage room to make adequate space for equipment with prior approval from the DNR inspector. Contractor to make professional, clean holes in walls to allow for equipment, any rough or otherwise unsightly work to be cleaned up or refinished at the contractor's expense. During the work, if there are freezing tempatures, the Contractor shall provide temporary heating to ensure water lines do not freeze. Contractor shall be professionally licensed and provide a 1 year labor and 5 year parts warranty on entire assembly.
