Site work for a water / sewer project in Mount Arlington, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

2022 Water and Sewer Systems Emergency Repair Services No bid can be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening. Bid proposals must be submitted in hardcopy (paper) and digital format, in duplicate on the forms furnished by the Borough and as PDF digital files of all submitted proposal forms. Digital files are to be submitted on electronic media (e.g., CD, USB flash drive). No bid will be accepted after the designated time and date. Bids transmitted electronically will not be accepted. If the bid is to be hand delivered on the day of the bid opening, the bid must be in the designated bid opening location by the designated time and date. The Borough will not assume responsibility for bids forwarded by mail or delivery service, and no bid will be accepted after the time specified on the bid opening date in the designated bid opening location. Bids are not to be delivered to the offices of CP Engineers. All bid forms in the Contract Documents must be fully completed and executed, and included with the Bidder's proposal. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in a form satisfactory to the Borough, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, but not more than $20,000.00. Bids will be rejected if the required forms are not included with the proposal. The Bidder and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Labor and Workforce Development's Division of Wage and Hour Compliance as required by the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq., and possess a Public Works Contractor Registration Certificate. By submitting a proposal, the bidder covenants and agrees that it has satisfied itself from its own investigation of the conditions to be met, that it fully understands its obligations and that it will not make any claim for, or have a right to cancellation or relief without penalty of the contract because of any misunderstanding or lack of information. This bid proposal is irrevocable by the bidder or its personal or legal representatives. If any discrepancies or omissions appear in the specifications, the bidder shall notify the Borough, in writing, of any such discrepancy or omission. Bidders are notified by this statement that all of the general terms and conditions applicable will be a part of any contract awarded as a result of this proposal as fully and to the same extent as if copied at the length therein. There is no minimum purchase implied or guaranteed in this contract. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq. Borough of Mt. Arlington Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor irregularities or informalities in the bids and to accept the bid, which in their judgment will best serve the interest of Mt. Arlington Borough Questions regarding interpretation, clarifications, or changes in the bid specifications must be directed in writing (via e-mail or fax) no later than Friday, October 14, 2022 at 5:00 p.m matt.peles@cpengineers.com Work to be done under this Contract shall consist of emergency repairs and/or replacements of all sizes of water and sewer system mains on an as needed basis. Repairs shall include excavation, removal/repair/replacement of system components, backfilling, temporary restoration and cleanup. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, safety equipment and supplies required to complete the repair. All work shall be completed to satisfaction of the Borough Engineer, or his designee. The Borough's water system consists of piping with diameters between two (2") inches and twelve (12") inches, constructed of ductile iron and some HDPE and asbestos cement pipe. The Borough'ssewersystems consists of gravity piping with diameters between two (2") inches and eight (8") inches, constructed of ductile iron and PVC; and force main piping with diameters between two (2") inches and twelve (12") inches, constructed of ductile iron.
