The work consists of Building C Abatement. The bids shall be on a lump sum basis. All bids must be placed in a sealed, opaque envelope with the project name and contractors name clearly marked on the outside of the envelope. All Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form included in the contract documents and accompanied with the following documents: 1) Bid Bond; 2) Bidders Certificate of Insurance; 3) Arkansas General Contractors License and 4) ADEQ Asbestos Abatement License. Southern Arkansas University Tech, hereafter termed the Owner, unless designated to another entity, supervises the bidding and award of all construction contracts, approves contract change orders, request for final payment and ensures on-site observations are accomplished. A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders if the bid is over $50,000.00. Performance and Payment Bonds are required for all bids $50,000.00 or over. For work exceeding $50,000.00, the bidder shall furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount equal to 100 percent of contract price as security for faithful performance of the Contract and payment of all obligations arising there under within ten (10) days after receipt of the Intent to Award. The Owner reserves the rights to reject any and all bids, and to waive any formalities. Bidders shall conform to the requirements of the Arkansas licensing laws and regulations for contractors, and shall be licensed before his bid is submitted pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. 17-25-101 - 17-25-315.
