Demolition and site work for a residential development in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 1,224-square-foot residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The City of Charleston, Department of Housing and Community Development, is requesting proposals for the demolition of a two-story house, 1224 square ft. in size, located on the Charleston Peninsula. Environmental reports indicate that there are no asbestos containing or lead-based painted materials present at the house. The address of the property is 36 Cooper Street, Charleston, SC. Proposals must contain the following information: 1) Submit a work plan for how you will safely remove the structure. 2) Include a certificate of insurance for Comprehensive Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation coverage. Work Plan shall include the following: 1) Demolition includes the removal of the concrete footings of the existing house. 2) No concrete flatwork is present on the property. No tree work is required. 3) Following demolition, the site must be completely clear of debris and rough graded. 4) Demolition contractor must install an erosion control silt fence around the work area prior to the start of work. Contractors will be required to provide appropriate business credentials, company information, and references. The City of Charleston has the right to refuse any or all bids at its own discretion.
