Site work, renovation and addition to a museum in Augusta, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 15,000-square-foot, two-story above grade museum; for the addition of a museum; and for site work for a museum.
Renovations to the Whitney Building and the addition of a connection corridor with service elevator to internally connect the Whitney Building with the existing Museum of History building. The construction will include masonry, concrete, structural steel, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, building sprinkler, roofing and limited sitework as required for the new addition. All questions must be submitted in writing by fax to 706 821-2811 or by email to procbidandcontract@augustaga.gov to the office of the Procurement Department by Wednesday, October 5, 2022 @ 5:00 P.M. No bid will be accepted by fax or email, all must be received by mail or hand delivered. All work as described in the contract documents prepared by JLA o Submittals as specified o All temporary waterproofing measures required to protect the existing building during construction o Safety measures to protect workers and the public o All required permits, insurance and bonds o Coordination of work with Central Services and the Augusta Museum of History o Project close-out, as built records, chart of maintenance requirements, and warranties, both hard copy and digital o Instruction of owner's staff in operation and maintenance of building systems. o Disposal of all waste material from demolition and new construction Disposal of all construction debris shall be at the Augusta Solid Waste Facility o All materials, equipment and labor required to execute the work Good Faith Efforts (GFE) Form (this form is required if LSB utilization is below 5%.
