This project will take place within the Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents. The general items of work are provided by Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents. The location of the work, its general nature, extent, form and detail of the various features are shown on drawings accompanying and made a part of these specifications. All bid questions shall be November 2, 2022 for the benefit of all proposed bidders. The questions shall be submitted no later than 72 hours in advance of bid date for a response. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding, should it deem this necessary for the public good, and also the bid of the bidder who has been delinquent or unfaithful in any former contract with the Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date from the opening thereof. Bids must be accompanied by cash, or by cashier's or certified check made payable to the Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District, or by a bid bond executed by an admitted surety insurer on the bond form provided herein, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid price, made payable to the Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District as a guarantee that the bidder, whose bid is accepted, will promptly execute the contract, secure payment of workers' compensation insurance, and furnish a satisfactory faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price and a payment bond (labor and material bond) in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price which complies with all of the requirements of Civil Code Section 9554.
