HVAC Units for Replace HVAC System, CTC, Facility A HVAC System. CDCR has contracted or will contract with multiple contractors for removal and replacement of the existing mechanical equipment for the correctional treatment center (CTC-I) at the California State Prison, Sacramento facility A, Building 5 & 6. The CTC is an OSHPD 4 facility for State building code purposes. The design mitigates problems identified in the project request form and the referenced A&E assessment memorandum dated May 23, 2014. Redesign the HVAC for rooms that are not within the CTC-I building, but currently share HVAC systems with the building. Components and systems are designed for 20 years minimum service life. The design re-use partially hardware and components where in the best interest of the institution. Replace air grilles, registers, diffusers, ducts, dampers, filtration, insulation, fans, fan coils, terminal units, air conditioners, heat pumps, heaters, heat exchangers, air handlers, air compressors, chiller, piping, steam components, pumps, control systems, power wiring and conduit. The number of air handlers increases. Cooling will be generated by a new air cooled chiller.
