This contract is for all labor, material, insurance, and equipment necessary for the Components 4 & 6: Liquid Transloading Facility Civil, Structural and Fire Suppression Site Work project located at Facility One, 3518 St. Lawrence Dr., Toledo, Ohio 43605, in accordance with the approved plans and specifications, to the Port Authority at One Maritime Plaza, Toledo, Ohio 43604. The Components 4 & 6: Liquid Transloading Facility Civil, Structural and Fire Suppression Site Work project consists of: site preparation at the storage tank site; final grading around tank after its installation; installation of earthen containment dike and service drive; grading of rail car area; installation of storm water drainage piping system; installation of replacement detention basin structure; installation of three rail spurs; installation of numerous concrete foundations; fabrication and installation of numerous structural steel pipe supports, electrical racks and other steel structures; assembly and erection of the rail car platform and pipe rack; installation of a fire suppression system, including: construction of the Foam House and its foundation, installation of the complete fire suppression system inside the Foam House including electrical, installation of incoming water and natural gas and outgoing sewer, foam piping to the storage tank, and a fire water piping system to hydrants and monitors at the rail car loading area and barge dock. There are two discreet project packages associated with the Transloading Facility: Components 4 & 6: Liquid Transloading Facility - Civil, Structural and Fire Suppression Site Work Component 5: Liquid Transloading Facility Mechanical and Electrical Site Work Be advised that Civil, Structural and Fire Suppression are to be bid together on one form and Mechanical and Electrical are to be bid together on one form. Bids for a single discipline will not be accepted. This project is funded through a U.S. Dept. of Trans. Maritime Administration (MARAD) PIDP grant and an Ohio Maritime Assistance Program grant (MAP). The engineers estimate for Components 4 & 6: Liquid Transloading Facility Civil, Structural and Fire Suppression Site Work base bid and alternate no. 1, is approximately $6,493,558.00. Bids that are in excess of 10% above the engineers estimate would be considered non-responsive. This project may be awarded by the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority at its sole discretion.
