Deadline for Questions October 27, 2022 at 5:00 PM PST From qualified firms (Proposer) to provide hazardous waste management services for Silicon Valley Power ("SVP"), the City's Electric Utility. The selected Proposer ("Contractor") shall provide turnkey waste management services including but not limited to remedial and cleanup work, waste materials testing, disposal services, and professional services to assist SVP with regulatory compliance, monitoring and reporting. Hazardous waste generated by SVP generally consists of both Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and non-RCRA hazardous waste such as used oil or materials containing or contaminated with waste oil, polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) waste, lubricants, solvents, paints, asbestos, lead, consumer product universal waste (e-waste, batteries, non-empty aerosol cans, and fluorescent lamps). SCOPE OF WORK A detailed Scope of Services is provided in Attachment A, and complete RFP documents MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Proposer(s) must meet the following minimum qualifications. Proposals that fail to meet the minimum qualifications in this section will be considered non-responsive and disqualified from further consideration. Possess a valid State of California Contractor's License Class A - General Engineering or B - General Building. License must be in either the bidder's or principal's name. Include a copy of your license with your proposal. Possess a Hazardous Material Transportation License in the State of California. Possess a Hazardous Substance Removal and Remedial Actions Certification. Registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to California Labor Code Section 1725.5 prior to submitting its proposal. Registered with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Include a copy of your identification number. Contract duration: 5 years
