Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Deadline for Written Questions:October 28, 2022, 5:00pm The City is seeking a qualified site development contractor to coordinate and perform needed site improvements for a temporary overflow parking facility located on vacant land. The project is located at 301 Faulkner Street which is on the north east corner of Washington Street and Faulkner Street intersection which is north of the New Smyrna Beach City Hall Annex. The scope of work includes: Site preparation including tree clearing, grading, installation of stormwater system (includes dry retention area, drainage pipe & inlets), hauling and placing compacted shell to define driveway aisles and spaces, concrete placement for the handicap parking spaces and driveway aprons, minor asphalt paving/reconstruction for the off site drainage connection, sidewalk connectivity, signing, pavement marking, wheel stops and landscaping. The Contractor is responsible to obtain a City permit along with providing as-built drawings certified by a Professional Land Surveyor. Within sixty (60) days after the opening of the bids, the City shall accept one of the bids or shall act in accordance with Information for Bidders-Right to accept and reject Bids. Bids shall be awarded in accordance with the Federal, State and Local regulations. The project shall be awarded to the lowest, most responsive, and responsible bidder whose bid submittal meets the specifications. Before an award of the contract, the City reserves the right to request additional information to clarify a bid submittal. A copy of the bid bond must be uploaded with the proposal response in the form of a Bid bond, certified funds or an irrevocable letter of credit in a sum equal to the amount of five (5%)percent of the amount of the bid proposal. The contractor shall guarantee the total proposal price for a period of 60 days from the date of the proposal opening. Within fourteen (14) days of executing an agreement, the successful bidder shall deliver to the Owner, if required as a part of the Contract Documents identified in "General Conditions", an executed bond in the amount of One hundred (100%) percent of the accepted bid as security for faithful performance of his Contract and for payment of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials in connection therewith, prepared on the form of bond attached hereto or the Bond Company's document, and have as surety thereon such company or companies approved by the Owner and authorized to transact business in the State of Florida. All bids shall remain firm for ninety (90) days after the day of the bid opening, but City may, in its sole discretion, release any bid and return the bid security prior to that date. The bidder further agrees to pay, as liquidated damages, the sum of TWO HUNDRED FIFTY ($250.00) DOLLARS for each consecutive calendar day thereafter, until the work is completed or accepted. The Owner reserves the unqualified right, in the Owner's sole and absolute discretion, to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities, or to accept that bid or combination of bids, which in the Owner's sole and absolute judgment, shall, under all circumstances, best serve the public interest. liquidated damages, the sum of TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($250) for each consecutive calendar day 0/28/2022 at 5:00 PM ET City by submitting all inquiries via the City e-Procurement Portal, located at https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/cityofnsb.
