The Rapid City Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), in conjunction with the City of Rapid City (Rapid City), is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to prepare a Major Street Plan Analysis and Update Study. The Major Street Plan Analysis and Update seeks to provide a comprehensive transportation network throughout the Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA). A single map consolidating the various roadway plans will reduce conflict between the jurisdictions and allow for more efficient planning. The analysis will include roadway profiles for all proposed arterial and collector roadways. The profiles will factor slope, constructability, and alignment to ensure that all roadways identified on the map are in the optimum location for future development. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time
