The Project entails the construction of the water service lines and sanitary sewer collection lines for the I-10 and Barkaloo annexation areas. The project area is generally bound by Interstate 10 on the north, Sjolander Road on the east, Archer Road on the south and N Main Street on the west. The project includes construction of water and sewer lines along the following streets with lengths as shown in the Drawings I-10 Frontage Road between N Main Street and Sjolander Road. Barkaloo/Crosby Cedar Bayou Road between Archer Road and the I-10 Frontage Road. East Archer Road between N Main Street and Barkaloo Road. Sheppard Road between E Archer Road and the Needlepoint Drive. The water and sanitary sewer lines in the areas listed above include all fittings, valves, fire hydrants, manholes, and appurtenances as listed in the Specifications or shown in the Drawings. The contractor is required to implement and maintain a traffic control plan, as shown on the Drawings and in accordance with the latest version of the Texas Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTD). The existing utilities within this project area include; Comcast, AT&T, Kinder Morgan - United Texas Gas Pipeline and CenterPoint Energy - Gas, Electric, and Street Light Conduit. Other utilities can exist that were installed after survey and plan completion of the referenced project. All existing utilities are shown in an approximate location only; the contractor shall verify the location and depth prior to construction. Any irrigation utilities, ditches, culverts, inlets, manholes, signs, and other improvements that have been disturbed due to utility construction shall be replaced in kind or better at no additional cost, and to the satisfaction of the City of Baytown Bid Security and Bonds: Bid Security in the form of Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Baytown in the amount of 5% of the total base bid price must accompany each proposal. Bidders submitting bids electronically through the E-bid System shall scan and upload a copy of the sealed Bid Bond as an attachment to their bid. Original documents for Bid Security shall be requested by the City from the lowest two bidders and delivered to the City's Purchasing Officer within 48 hours of the Bid Opening.
