The Ministry of Forests in the Northeast Region is looking to complete a wildfire risk reduction treatment adjacent to Wonowon. The operational activities are a continuation of GS22FSJ0027. There are approximately 28.2 hectares to treat and piles to burn. There are two treatment regimes: Treatment Unit 1 (TU1) and Treatment Unit 2 (TU2) comprising approximately 10 hectares and 14 hectares respectively. Piles and windrows were left to season over the 2022 summer and need to be re-piled and burnt. The windrows need to be broken up every 200 meters prior to ignition to comply with Open Burning Smoke Control Regulations. The proposals will be evaluated for the selection of a consultant (or consultants) with the intent to enter into a contract to provide the services described in the attached Operational Services Contract. Respondents to this RFP and their employees are expected to have the necessary experience, resources and capacity to undertake such a project.
